FAQ

For which pathologies is Nubax indicated?

Nubax may be beneficial for, but not limited to:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis
  • Lumbar lordosis and kyphosis
  • Sciatica
  • Scoliosis
  • Herniated discs
  • Spinal degeneration
  • Chronic lower back pain
How often should I use my Nubax?

We recommend using it 2 to 3 times a day. However, everyone is different, so it's important to experiment with frequency and duration to determine what works best for you. Spinal traction is generally more effective when used regularly and frequently, rather than for long periods of time.

Is the Nubax suitable for the upper back and neck?

Nubax works primarily on the lumbar region, from the base of the shoulder blades to the lower spine. Its effects are therefore mainly felt in the lower back.

My knees slip during use, what should I do?

If your knees slip:

  • Place the Nubax on a yoga mat or towel.
  • Try to bring your knees forward in the machine.
  • You can also place your feet against a wall for more stability.
I am very tall or very short, will the Nubax work for me?

Yes. The Nubax is designed to fit most body types.

  • By adjusting the knee position, everyone can find an effective pulling angle.
  • If necessary, place a cushion or towel under your knees for added comfort.
I weigh more than 150 kg, can I use the Nubax?

The maximum recommended weight is 150 kg. Beyond this limit, there is an increased risk of premature wear of the belt and hammock, as well as a loss of strength at the joints of the device. Use beyond this limit is not recommended.

I recently had back surgery, can I use the Nubax?

After lower back surgery, it is essential to allow time for healing. Since surgery is usually a last resort, the use of Nubax may be contraindicated.

Always consult your surgeon before using Nubax in this case.

I have osteoporosis, can I use Nubax?

Except in cases of severe osteoporosis, axial decompression does not pose any particular danger. On the contrary, it has been shown that regular application of forces to the bones slows the progression of osteoporosis and strengthens their resistance.

If in doubt, ask your doctor for advice.

I have had an arthrodesis, can I use Nubax?

Yes. Many people who have had arthrodesis use the Nubax without any problems.

  • Fused vertebrae will not benefit from traction.
  • But the adjacent vertebrae will fully benefit from the effects.

If you are unsure, consult your doctor.
I have trouble leaning forward, can I use the Nubax?

Yes. Difficulty bending occurs most often when standing. The Nubax works in a kneeling position, with your legs bent at a 90° angle, which makes the exercise easier. You can use a cushion under your knees for added comfort.

I am pregnant, can I use Nubax?

Yes. The axial traction provided by the Nubax has no negative effects on pregnancy. However, if you experience any discomfort, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
